In a San Francisco loft, the kitchen’s cabinetry is by Henrybuilt, the countertops are PentalQuartz, the faucet is by Dornbracht, the stools are by Overgaard & Dyrman and the wall sculpture is by Manuel Neri. Take blue and white to the next level with a vibrant burst of cobalt. It makes a statement but still feels classic.
In the Mexican hill town of San Miguel de Allende, a kitchen makes use of a variety of modern cabinet ideas. On one wall, stainless drawers match the Wolf cooktop and Teka ovens. On the other, white paneled cabinets add a farmhouse appeal. The island is encased in wood that was charred on-site and topped with Carrara marble, and the backsplash is local granite with a leather finish. The 1970s stools are Italian.
Weathered wood cabinets add rustic charm. If only we could score some exposed wood beams, too. White and blue is about as classic a color combo as you can get. If you don't want something too bold, try a deep navy, and it'll feel more neutral.
